Not quite Radiohead

Thom Yorke's first debut album, quite amazing that he made this while making the other eagerly awaited album. Get it hot, now.

If you dunno who this is, ignore the post.

Comments from yorke

"The elements have been kicking round now for a few years and needed to be finished and I have been itching to do something like this for ages," he continues. "It was fun and quick to do." One track, "black swan," will run over the end credits of director Richard Linklater's upcoming film, "A Scanner Darkly."

"As you know the band are now touring and writing new stuff and getting to a good space so I want no crap about me being a traitor or whatever splitting up blah blah," he writes. "This was all done with their blessing. And I don't wanna hear that word solo. Doesn't sound right."

Here is the track list for "The Eraser":

"the eraser"
"analyse"
"the clock"
"black swan"
"skip divided"
"atoms for peace"
"and it rained all night"
"harrowdown hill"
"cymbal rush"

How profound...
"It's not Radiohead, it's just Thom"- tell us something we didn't know!
Besides- I can't tell that much of a difference
Q: How is it different when the ONLY/LEAD singer in a band does something with a different band- but doesn't credit the band and instead calls himself the individual 'artist', and stays with the same style of music?
But I will agree with Shaun on one thing- the album isn't great

Agreed, radiohead is better. It proves Johnny Greenwood, electrics man is a crucial element. Though the lyrics are still good coz thom does all lyrics for radiohead too.

Hmm, I quite like this. It's pretty laid back but it makes nice background music for browsing the web.

hehe only just noticed that Tony called 'The Eraser' Thom Yorke's first debut album...
I wasn't aware that you could have more than one debut..? well at the same thing anyway
ah well- just being overly critical and finicky i guess
It's still pretty average- even after a few times
