Discussion needed i think
If I may touch on a sensitive subject. But it is one that needs to be dealt with after recent events and realisations that were initiated by frosty's little spat.
I think finally after 3 years, our group is starting to show something that i feel can only be described as "weariness". That's just my view.
I've always been quite amazed how we've been able to stay together quite close coz I think most other groups have already separated. Not sure, but the only other mentone group that could come close to our closeness is prolli fatcob and co. but I don't see them hanging out too much anymore either coz a lot of their peeps have gone elsewhere. And i see Russo/Lawler/Locki/Millis/Will Parker/Lauder and some other old mentonians and they definitely have not kept in contact as much as us. So what's happening?
What's holding us together or was?
This blog - u know it. Don't deny it. This is the hub for most of our events now. And alot of us r too lazy to call each other, so we'd have problems without it. n it's a place for public baggings.
Poker - Used to be our standard gathering, though because shaun was the main controller for poker and he's now too busy with sig, that's gone crap. And also, ryan keeps winning. And me ;-)
Trivia - Azns don't seem keen on it. No1 cares that we dont care and notifies us abt it.
Not having girfriends to worry abt: no longer possible for most.

i would go out on a limb and say if this group didnt stay together i wouldnt have any other friends.

u posted the same thing twice. i liked the one triv nite that i went 2. generally i like poker nights too. except i weird ppl out 2 much. apparentli my kettle exploits got up ppls bak. also u (tony) dont need to worry so much abt ur gf, unless its my weight or sumthing ur worrying about

Yeah, another poker night will be good.
But what we really, really need is like a big bondage session. Oh wait, I meant bonding. No, actually I did mean bondage.
On the big holidays, after exams are all over and no-one has anything to worry about I propose that we pack our backpacks and head off to the mountains for a while. Think of cadet camp style but just us guys. Not even girlfriends (sorry ladies).
We can do a short hike to get to a nice spot, and set up camp. We will have a big ol' fire, things to drink, games to play, fat to chew and shit to shoot. We'll go someplace away from civilisation, so no 'going down to the shops' kind of thing. Just us and the wilderness.

could work, but i think theres a lot of organisation. we'd need to assign diff people for diff jobs. food/logistics/locations/water/hunting parties/etc
