FINALLY!
Official site is finally up and everything looks very very very nice indeed. I was hoping it wouldn't impose unit number restrictions like the old starcraft(within reason) and indeed it seems blizzard hasn't. Seeing 200 zerglings run around with dark swarm covering them was soo much fun back in the day, but yes, the current screens seem very protoss orientated.

This has got to be the most anticipated game ever for me(even moreso than the next heroes of might and magic hehehehe), very exciting stuff. Of course I think we should all buy it when it finally comes out(no date so far) so we can all duke it out on bnet.

That's pretty good if so for the release date. Well yes Ryan is right, we should all buy it and form a clan! Would be good fun.
Yeah, it looks sweet. The site has a high-res (1280) gameplay video up now too. As for release dates I doubt it will be this year, but they probably want to get it out in time for the 10th anniversary of SC in April 2008.
ps due to a combination of tiredness/hung-overness and awesomeness I think I actually teared up a little when this was annouced :O
from the game vid the battlecruiser looks quite beatable actually. haha, and everyone should check out the protoss mothership from the vid, it's a bit overkill in my opinion. it can make a black hole and kill everything around it, sorta like a nuke that does infinite damage and lasts a lot longer.

Have you all seen the gameplay video? Can't stand that american narration. Still looks ok though, but not as awesome as I thought it would be. Units look cool but the screen perspective seems to close. Should be able to see more of the map. Graphics pretty average too, they should have made it cell-shaded to keep the old starcraft look.
Hopefully they make more improvements. But they won't.
Will still be buying the game though ;)
blizzard and billy just announced the fourth race to be included in starcraft 2..
